Fisheating Creek WMA

We enjoyed a long weekend shared with good friends at this authentic Florida campsite.  Fisheating Creek is derived from the Seminole name for the stream which, according to Wikipedia is translated as “the river where fish is eaten.”

The property is still recovering from the 2017 effects of Hurricane Irma but campsite with full hookups and 50 amp were all usuable.  Sites in tree cover area are more beautiful than those in the open as you’ll see in the pictures below.

Dinner at the Forrey Grill in nearby Historic Downtown Labelle was a real treat!  Best to bring groceries with you to avoid travel to neighboring communities for supplies.
