We stopped to visit a dear friend who lives near Petaluma. During our brief stay we drove over to Point Reyes National Seashore. We were luck to visit on a day without all-day fog.
First stop at the Visitors Center was the Earthquake Walk where graphic evidence of the 1906 earthquake that virtually destroyed San Francisco.
The San Andreas fault runs through this area with graphic evidence of how much the earth moved that day. Here’s Karen standing on top of the fault showing just how much this fan line moved during that quake. She lived to tell about it!
A visit to Limantour Beach provided quite a contrast to our Siesta Key beach visits…but striking with the fog nearby.
And to cap off the day a wonderful dinner at Nicks Cove in Marshall, CA.
