Now This is a Big Hot Tub

The town of Glenwood Springs was just a short drive from our campsite in Carbondale. It has a fascinating history so take a moment to check it out.

Glenwood Hot Springs is the worlds largest mineral hot springs pool. The source is Yampah (Ute Indian for ‘Big Medicine’ springs which produces over 3.5 million gallons per day at a temperature of 122 degrees. It is cooled to 104 degrees for the therapy pool and further to 90-93 degrees for the main pool. The Hot Springs and Spa have been in continuous operation since 1888. We enjoyed a relaxing dip with friends Hans and Johanna.
