After an enjoyable time with Hans and Johanna in Carbondale we continued east to Woodland Park, just outside Colorado Springs. To get there, though, we needed to cross the Continental Divide to the “east slop” of the Rockies. Hoosier Passks 11,542 elevation was fairly easy to climb and descend.
Our destination was Diamond Campground and RV Resort recommended by our good friend “Doc Willie” in Sarasota. It turned out to be a wonderful spot to base camp as we explored the Colorado Springs area.
